The best way tpo enjoy the hospitality and kindness of the people from Mogán is by assisting to one of their traditional celebrations which take place the whole year round in the suburbs of the town. The most important of them all is the Romería de San Antonio el Chico, in ghe month of June, where floats and folk groups from the town and from other islands take part in the merrymaking, right on the streets in the centre of town, way past midnight. In some of the districts of Mogán one can go an admire the decoration of some of the most flashy floats.

For the sea-speople, the most emotional celebration is the one of the Virgen del Carmen, in July; idol is placed on a boat which travels through the coasts of Arguineguín and Mogán amidst the roar of sirens and fireworks, followed by dozens of other boats. By the end of the festivities it will return to Arguineguín accompanied by the sme party. During Christmas time, a Nativity Scene is staged in Veneguera on the 25th of December; the performance by the local people also include the recreation of the traditional trades and occupations from the Canary Islands which surround the Holy Family, also dressed up in the typical local attire.

During the months of February and March people let their hair down during Carnavales. In May, there is María Auxiliadora in Puerto Rico - Motor Grande and in August the festivity of La Virgen de Fátima (Our Lady of Fatima) in Veneguera, and La Inmaculada Concepción and San Andrés in Barranquillo Andrés. All these celebrations are worth taking part in to enjoy the music, good food and the infectious happy mood.
